On the afternoon of October 29, 2019, Professor Li Gengxiang, Chairman of the Henan Provincial Federation of Social Sciences, was invited to the New Era Marxism Lecture Hall of Henan University's Ideological and Political Course Brand Series Activities, and gave a title of " The Rise of the Central Plains in the New Era and the Greater Central Plains" academic report The report was presided over by Zhang Xiangdong, Executive Deputy Dean of the School of Marxism, and some teachers and representatives of graduate students from the School of Marxism attended to listen.

In order to thoroughly implement the spirit of the central government, Professor Li Gengxiang took the Splendid Henan as the starting point and made a profound exposition from three sections: First, he analyzed the ecological protection and high-quality development of the Yellow River Basin, and emphasized the need to strengthen ecological protection and governance, Become a river of happiness for the Chinese nation. Secondly, he pointed out that Henan must courageously advance in the rise of the central region. And profoundly explained the general secretary's important exposition on the relationship between the Central Plains culture, the Yellow River culture, the Yellow River civilization, the Yellow River governance system and the modernization of governance capabilities. Finally, Professor Li Gengxiang put forward two major issues facing the development of the Horse Academy in the new era, namely, major changes unseen in a century and the modernization of institutional self-confidence and governance systems and governance capabilities.
