On the afternoon of November 9, 2019, Professor Mei Rongzheng of the School of Marxism and PhD supervisor of Wuhan University was invited to participate in the symposium and made an important speech on the issue of "Development Trends of Marxist Theory and Discipline" in the conference room on the third floor of the School of Marxism. The symposium was presided over by Zhang Xiangdong, executive deputy dean of the School of Marxism, and some teachers from the School of Marxism participated in the symposium.

At the symposium, everyone expressed their opinions around Professor Mei Rongzheng's speech, fully exchanged and discussed, and the meeting achieved satisfactory results. The teachers present have a clearer understanding and grasp of the development trends, frontiers and requirements of Marxist theory.
