From June to August in 2020,  Henan Provincial Federation of Trade Unions and  the Education Department hosted the 2020 annual Competition of Teaching Skills. Teachers, Zhang Fenglin, Chen Weihua, Wang Jiujiao, from Marxism Institute, represented college to take part in this competition and did great performances.

Since this activity began, leaders from Marxism Institute paid great importance on it and organised seriously. At the same time, Teaching and Research Section involved  actively and  recommended persons of virtues. Teachers participating in this activity were hard-working and prepared industriously. Under the joint and multiple efforts, our institute did great performances in this Competition of Teaching Skills. Among them, Teacher Zhang Fenglin, making the top 20 and selected for the ideological and political education team in the provincial Competition of Teaching Skills, joined in the final presentation hosted by Huanghuai School and got the first prize with a good result of fourth place. Meanwhile, he was honored with the name of “Henan provincial model in teaching”. Chen Weihua and Wang Jiujiao held the idea of "having a nice class",   persisted in the basic task of morality education and highlighted the importance of moral education and linking theories with practice, winning the second and third prize respectively.

It is reported that the Competition of Teaching Skills is the carrier of implement Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, the spirit of National Education Conference and the spirit of the 19th National Congress. This activity held the principle of justice and equality, as well as the objective and comprehensive idea, and assessed the competitors' competence and levels in teaching synthetically. This contest presented  our teachers' superior competence and levels in teaching, arouse the enthusiasm of motivation, initiative and creativity and laid the strong foundation for further talents cultivating and the teaching staff constructing.
