In order to further clarify the ideas and development goals of discipline construction and improve the level of discipline construction, we held a meeting on discipline construction and development planning for backbone cultivation of Marxist theory in the conference room of Marxism college on the third floor of science and technology building in Minglun campus of Henan University on October 26, 2020.

Professor Zheng Jiwei of Renmin University of China, Chen Yu, President of the school of Marxism, Henan Agricultural University, Professor Weng Youwei, School of history and culture, Professor Zheng Jinyu, Law School of Henan University, Wang Li, deputy director of discipline construction department, Mr. Ren Haiyan, and academic backbone and director of teaching and research section of the school of Marxism were invited to attend. The meeting was presided over by Peng Xuqin, vice president of the college.

Subsequently, the participants fully discussed the discipline construction objectives and medium and long-term planning. In particular, Professor Zheng Jiwei, President Chen Yuwei, Professor Weng Youwei and Professor Zheng Jinyu actively put forward suggestions on the direction of the discipline of Marxist theory in Henan University, such as refining the direction, building characteristics, team building, personnel training, platform construction, scientific research, etc
