The morning of April 3, 2019, Li Jie, the former president of "Seeking Truth" magazine, was invited to give a report entitled "How the New Era Comes" in the conference room on the fifth floor of the School of Marxism. Some teachers, doctoral, master's and undergraduate students of the School of Marxism participated in this lecture. The lecture was presided over by Ren Dongjing, deputy dean of the School of Marxism.

Researcher Li Jie’s report is divided into three parts. The first is to "face the domestic and international issues of the times"; the second is to strive to open up a new era in historical logic. The third is to fully understand the rich connotations of socialism with Chinese characteristics entering a new era. He focused on the three perspectives of "new features of the question of the times", "historical logic for solving the questions of the times at home", and "historical logic for solving the questions of the times internationally" and carefully interpreted how we should create a new era in historical logic. Researcher Li Jie’s precise explanation and a new perspective gave the teachers and students a deeper understanding of the arrival of the new era. In the question session, students spoke enthusiastically, and Researcher Li Jie answered them one by one.

Finally, Ren Dongjing, deputy dean of the School of Marxism, summarized the lecture and thanked Researcher Li Jie for his wonderful presentation. The lecture ended with warm applause from teachers and students.
