On August 27, the Department of education of Henan Province has listed the provincial first-class undergraduate majors under proposed project construction in 2020, where the major of ideological and political education from Marxism College of Henan University was selected as one site of it . After the university application, qualification examination and conference review, a total of 403 provincial-level first-class majors were proposed in this list.

The construction of provincial first-class undergraduate specialty is of great significance for the revitalization of undergraduate education, the improvement of talent training ability and connotative development of higher education. They have seriously planned and actively organized the declaration work, which provides a solid guarantee for winning the provincial first-class undergraduate specialty construction site of 2020.

It is a new start for the undergraduate specialty construction of our college to be selected as the provincial first-class specialty. The college will take the approved specialty construction site as an opportunity, take the first-class specialty construction as the starting point, focus on the cultivation of morality and talents and promote the "four returns".
