On the morning of May 24th, the Marxism College organized faculty members to commemorate the 40th anniversary of reform and opening up in the meeting room of science and technology museum in the school district. The meeting was presided over by the Party secretary of  Marxism college, Ma Runcheng.

The associate professor Yang li firstly gave an academic speech entitled "seeking happiness for the people: logical starting point and value ending point of reform and opening up". She thought in the 40 anniversary of reform and opening up, the great practice of theory summary,can not only promote the new era of reform and opening up, but also contribute Chinese wisdom and solutions of China to the world . She describes the "people's main body" , which belongs to historical materialism, is the philosophy basis of the reform and opening up, and seeking happiness for the people is the starting point of the reform and opening up, the value end-result and great power. She points out that the reform and opening up has entered a new era of "people centered", which is the core value of the new era of socialism with Chinese characteristics.  

Wang Jiujiao speaks around the topic of "forty years history of the reform process and basic experience". She thinks that reviewing forty years and summarizing basic experience of the historical process of reform is of great significance towards the practice of the new era of innovation and theory development. Based on the breadth and depth of reform, she divided the historical process into three stages: initial exploration, comprehensive promotion and comprehensive deepening. From the perspective of theoretical logic and practice logic union, she summed up the basic experience: firm position of socialist reform, promoting the emancipation of ideology, innovating system and mechanism, adhering to "the people centered", strengthening the basic aspects, such as the leadership of the party.  The associate professor Shen he delivered an academic report.The topic is that we must adhere to the people-oriented value orientation to comprehensively deepen reform. She pointed out that deepening reform in an all-round way is the fundamental driving force to achieve the new goals of the new era and the inevitable choice of 40 years of scientific experience in reform and opening up. Comprehensively deepening reform must adhere to the people at the center position.  This fundamental value need to adhere to the guidance of Marxism, the reform initiative and the communist party of beginner's mind. It is the inevitable choice of the cause of socialism. In all practical activities, we must put people at the centre for comprehensively deepening reform so that the fruits of reform will be Shared by all. Only by adhering to the people-centered value orientation can we meet people's demand for a better life in the new era.
